Everything workers in residential youth services do, in their work with young people, is about providing quality care for them. This DVD is based on realistic work situations and shows how accurate observation and recording of information is a key part of that quality of care. Workers are writing about young people and their lives so objective and non-judgemental recording is essential.
It can be used in the induction and orientation of new staff, as a refresher, for in-house training and for learners undertaking accredited courses in the Community Services Training Package.
Available in DVD format and contains a Trainers' Resource Kit on CD. The CD includes Trainers' Notes on how to use this resource and Learners' Worksheets which can be customised for your organisation.
A DEST-funded WELL project developed by Fran
Haarsma Productions in partnership with Berry Street Victoria.
