This DVD shows potential hazards, and how to avoid them, for home care workers whose workplace is the home.
It encourages workers to avoid slips, trips and spills, to use correct manual handling and what to look for with chemicals and electrical equipment as well as hygiene precautions. A concise and clear communication tool for basic training of home care workers.
Project developed by Fran Haarsma Productions and funded under the Workplace English Language and Literacy (WELL) Program by the Australian Government Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations.
"The DVD provides a simple but effective review of its topic areas. I would recommend the use of Safe Houses for Certificate III Home and Community Care."
